Benson Design Academy was chosen as a career pathway because of the multitude of careers that stem from an education in CAD (Computer Aided Design) and digital design courses. This pathway has a job growth of 4% or more in the next decade. Benson offers courses in CAD and Revit and is currently in the process of being dual enrolled. Benson offers digital design courses that teach Photoshop tutorials. These courses are using industry standard software that directly benefits the student’s chosen career goals. These courses and pathways were guided by the assistance of our Board: Leo A Daly, Kenneth Hahn Architects, Millard Lumber, Grain and Mortar, University of Nebraska-Omaha, Aviture, Form Grey Studio, B2B Lab Inc., and Publication Printing. To continue our current success and ramp up future success stories some funding measures that would be helpful would be further training of teachers at the master's level to being teaching dual enrolled courses, student transportation to job sites, specialized clothing for students in their career field, supplies for 3D printers and shopbot machinery.
