Omaha Public Schools is pleased to recognize the following staff and students for their academic, extracurricular and professional achievements:

• Teddy Dunning, Burke High senior, for being selected to march with The Bands of America in the Rose Bowl Parade.
• Westview High’s JROTC for qualifying for the 2025 VEX Robotics JROTC National Championship.
• South High’s JROTC for placing first in the Armed Drill Competition at the Des Moines JROTC Marine Corps Drill Meet and at the Papillion La Vista Schools Fitness Challenge.
• Benson High’s JROTC Drill Team for placing first in the Color Guard Competition at the Des Moines JROTC Marine Corps Drill Meet.
• Brooklyn Freeman, Westview High senior, for receiving the 2025 Inspire Scholarship Award.
• Carol Salerno, Castelar Elementary retired fifth grade teacher, for winning the Excellence in Education 2025 Inspire Award.
• All 330 Omaha Public Schools students who qualified for an Advanced Placement Scholar Award from the College Board.
